Reconstitution calculator
Concentration, draw volume, U-100 syringe units, and doses per vial from vial size, water volume, and dose.
This calculator does the arithmetic that reconstitution requires: what concentration a vial and diluent volume produce, what syringe volume holds a given dose, and how many doses a vial contains. It is pure math, offered because people doing this anyway deserve correct arithmetic. It is not a dosing recommendation: no ipamorelin dose has ever been shown effective for anything in a human trial, and the compound carries an active FDA Category 2 safety flag.

- Volume per dose

- U-100 syringe units per dose
- 10 unitsFits the 1 mL barrel (100 unit scale).

This number came from the vial label, which no regulator reviewed.
Arithmetic only: concentration = vial mg / water mL; units = mL x 100. It does not check any dose against any reference.
Worked example
Example: a 5 mg vial plus 2.0 mL of diluent gives 2.5 mg/mL. A 250 mcg dose is 0.1 mL, which is 10 units on a U-100 insulin syringe, and the vial holds 20 such doses. Change any input and the outputs recompute; none of this implies 250 mcg does anything, a question no human trial has answered.
Step by step
- Enter the peptide mass printed on the vial in milligrams.
- Enter the volume of diluent you will add in milliliters.
- Enter the dose you intend to measure in micrograms.
- Read the concentration (mg/mL), the injection volume (mL), the U-100 syringe units, and the doses per vial.
Concentration produced by common vial sizes and diluent volumes (mg/mL)
| Vial | 1.0 mL | 2.0 mL | 3.0 mL |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 mg | 2.0 | 1.0 | 0.67 |
| 5 mg | 5.0 | 2.5 | 1.67 |
| 10 mg | 10.0 | 5.0 | 3.33 |
Frequently asked questions
Why do the units double when I halve the diluent?
Concentration doubles when volume halves, so the same microgram dose occupies half the syringe volume and half the units. The dose is set by micrograms, not units; units are just volume marks on a U-100 syringe (100 units = 1 mL).
What diluent do studies use?
The human studies did not reconstitute vials at all: they used intravenous infusions prepared in hospital settings. There is no label and no validated preparation standard for the vials sold online; that absence is part of the risk picture.
Does this tool tell me a safe dose?
No. It converts the numbers you enter. No ipamorelin dose has demonstrated efficacy in any human trial, and FDA has flagged the compound's safety file as insufficient. Safety at forum doses is simply unknown.
